How to Be Successful With Colon Cleansing and Weight Loss
admin | March 2, 2010There are many of you who carry around excess weight go out and try the latest exercise and diet fads to get a leaner, sexier figure, and of course in the interest of good health. But why is it that no matter what many of you do, your efforts at shedding the extra weight fail? Diet and exercise does work but not for those who are in their middle age and up but for the younger generation this is no sweat. This is because their bodies have not been subjected to too much stress and strain from the food, the daily grind and the environment itself. For the elder generations it is harder to lose weight and one reason is there is a need for colon cleanse.
The digestive system is responsible for the absorption of nutrients for the body after digestion of food. Fad diets, pills, and surgery do not take into account the importance of a clean and healthy functioning colon. Some fad diets dictate that you must eat only this or that type of food, diet pills are chemicals that are supposed to curb the tendency to eat, and as to surgery, it can prove to be costly for your life and for your pockets. An efficient digestive system is a key factor that is missing in these artificial methods of losing weight. Colon cleansing is beneficial in that it allows the colon to function the way it should by absorbing nutrients properly and efficiently.
The nutrients from what we eat is absorbed in the intestines and is distributed to the various parts of the body that need these nutrients. But what makes for an abnormal colon function and how does this relate to weight loss? Stress is one of them. When you are under stress your internal organs react negatively. Another factor is bad eating habits. Instead of eating nutritious food such as vegetables and fruits what usually passes the stomach are food laden with too many chemicals: preservatives, additives, and other artificial ingredients. These chemicals have a negative effect on the digestive system and how the intestines break down and absorb nutrients. In a healthy functioning colon, it takes 2 to 3 days for waste to be eliminated but with unhealthy food, it takes 5 to 6 days. Wow that is close to a week of lugging around waste matter.
An unhealthy colon plays havoc on your body sometimes without you knowing it. Constipation, diarrhea, passing of gas, bloating, menstrual cramps, headaches, unexplained rashes, sluggishness, general feeling of fatigue, insomnia are things that can be traced to a backed up colon. An unhealthy colon leads to poor digestion and poor nutrient absorption which are responsible for the unwanted weight gain. If you go on diet and exercise with an unhealthy colon, you will feel weak and sickly. Thus the effects of your weight loss regimen are not felt and you will feel unsuccessful in this area because an unhealthy colon results to a slower metabolism. A high metabolism is needed so that those excess calories will be burned as fuel.
Unless you want to lose weight, feel better, and become healthier what you need if you want to shed those unwanted pounds is to have colon cleanse to remove that wastes that are clogging the colon so you could up your metabolism. After that go on a diet of nutrient rich natural food coupled with regular exercise, plenty of water, and soon you will notice a lighter but healthier body.
